The story
Most of us remember a lake early or late in the day, when the wind drops and the water goes flat enough to hold the mountain. Still Waters keeps four of those moments: a moose on Isle Royale's shore, Denali above a kettle pond, Rainier mirrored in Reflection Lakes, and Wizard Island in the deep blue of Crater Lake. Cool blues and soft alpenglow make it a calm wall for a bedroom, a reading corner or anywhere you want to slow down.
Why these four
- Water in every print: a lake shore, a kettle pond, Reflection Lakes and Crater Lake.
- Hung 2 × 2, the two mountain reflections, Denali and Rainier, sit on the diagonal.
- Four northern parks in one cool palette: Michigan, Alaska, Washington and Oregon.

From the studio
Still Hour is a one-person studio. I trained in wildlife biology, which teaches you to sit still and watch: how an animal moves through its country, how a valley changes color as the sun drops, how quiet it gets just before dark. The still hour is that stretch around first and last light. Each print tries to hold one of those moments, and each set is chosen so the four belong on one wall.
